Dell or Apple – Which Laptop do you prefer?
It is always considered that Apple laptops are costly and Dell laptops are cheap and good. This is fact but if you see laptop sales, people still go for purchasing Apple laptops. Why would anyone pay extra fee to get the same features? Is Apple charging a bran premium charge? These are some of the questions that can rise in a user’s mind. Now let’s sit back and analyze which laptop is better, what are the pros and cons of both these laptops and how these laptops change your life?
Ever since Apple started to create Macintosh and related products, Mac was always Apple’s premier product. Though the current product line has increased to iPad and iPhone, the core value of Apple lies in the Mac which is why the company was called as ‘Apple Computers’ before it was renamed few years back.

Sleekly design:
The design and the product experience of Apple is always considered to the on the higher scale. The Mac book air the latest release of apple was considered to the having the best design when it comes to weight and attractiveness. The size and weight makes it literally attractive for anyone who likes a sleek design.
On the other hand Dell has a very standard design when it comes to laptops. The design is not as sleek as Apple, but it is not cut rough as well.
Performance:
From operations standpoint both the laptops perform well. While Dell runs on Intel based chipsets, Mac book had their own chipset. Lately they have adopted to Intel core i7 processors and are available in i7 as well. Both these dominant players have stabilized central systems that are highly resilient for any performance issues. However lately there is a howl of shout in internet about Dell’s performance. People have started to complain about their services and especially their support in social media websites. While Dell has a traditionally good support system they might want to create more engagement here.
Price:
Now when it comes to price, it is very well known fact that Apple products are way high than Dell. There could be multiple reasons for this. We are not sure if this is a tradition or a business model of Apple, but the cost is almost 60% to 80% more than the Dell laptops of the same configuration.
Market Share:
Dell is a leader in this space. While they have competition from other vendors like HP and Lenovo, it is not a controllable fact for Apple.
Apple has a very little market share that is always fewer than 20%. While Apple’s then CEO Steve Jobs suggested that they do not want to take over the market as leader and they are happy creating great products for their customers. He also mentioned that he and his company cherish moments of small percentage raise in market share.

At the end of the day both Dell and Apple are great laptop providers. The level of usage has to be dependent on the end user. Customers should opt for laptops that will fit in their usage and budget.
