Evolution of Apple in dominate the technology niche

Apple as a company has undergone multiple iteration of growth right from early 70s’ where the company was first of its kind to offer hardware and software of its own. Though Macintosh computers do not rule the internet, people often praise these products for clarity, innovation and great user experience. Right from that stage Apple is known for great technology products that are targeted towards elite customers at premium price tag.

Before 2000:

Before 2000 Apple has wide range of problems mostly that are leadership issues. Steve Jobs, veteran founder was asked to step down from Apple and Apple was close to file bankruptcy. Though all the initial values of the company were intact, people were not able to find innovation in terms of new products and technology. This slowed down the company once known for its amazing technology and innovation in product experience.

Post Steve Jobs era and iPhone 4S

As you would know Steve Jobs, the famous CEO and iconic figure of Apple and Tech industry resigned from Apple due to health reasons. Then after a month or so, he died due to the illness. For the past one week, the tech world has been mourning the loss of Steve Jobs.

Certainly he was a visionary and driving force for Apple. He drove his competitors to think beyond what it is today and strived hard to make the customers happy.

Given that Steve has passed away and there were recent speculation of iPhone 4S, we thought it would be better to talk about post Steve Jobs era and iPhone 4S.

 

 

Post Steve Jobs era:

For many of you who had computers in 1970s’ and 80s’ you would know what Steve Jobs has done to the tech and computer industry. He has revolutionized with his unique thinking skills and managing a large format business. He raced away competition by coming up with something new in the industry. Ultimately he was fired from Apple due to the internal conflict that happened in Apple.

After his second coming, Steve revolutionized the music industry and then the phone and then the tablet. He set new standards in everything that he saw as needs for end users. He also had a famous iconic way of attracting people in the technology world.

Now, there is a huge burden that is being laid in Tim Cook’s shoulders. It is very difficult to replace Steve Jobs from the charisma standpoint, but he has to continue to invent products to be the lead in technology world.

iPhone 4S:

iPhone 4S launch was the first of its kind for Tim Cook after he has taken charge as Chief Executive Officer. People were expecting iPhone 5 with considerable amount of change in UI and design. On a contrary to that, they were able to come up with additional features like voice recognition and more powerful camera.

Though there was initial upset from the customers end, Mashable.com reported that iPhone 4S pre-order has been sold off. This means people has ordered more than 200,000 iPhone 4S after the launch event. This is quite amazing and great given that there are new phones that are being unveiled by Samsung and Google.

Though iPhone 4S may not be the favorite product, people might still buy it out of curiosity. Apple should set long term innovation goals and has to come up with more new amazing cool products that people would love and purchase over and over again.
